Morgan was featured in an informative video Safe Sex for Men and Women that addressed AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the entertainment industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives to combat the disease and presented testimony in the Congressional Special Committee on AIDS Education. She serves on the board of Governors of APLA along with Amfar. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to substitute for him during AIDS celebrations and she's presented an AIDS Awareness Special featuring anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to appear twice on Nightline with regard to AIDS. Morgan is nominated as the Emmy recipient for her role in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written specifically for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. It also had Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The second part of the project took Morgan to Luxembourg in which she appeared in the roles of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also in the show. Morgan also appeared in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film garnered one of its greatest ratings of all time.
